The BESS universal calf nipple is designed to fit almost every bucket and feeder of the market. It can be optionnaly bought with a complete bucket valve, that is thouroughly tested to be 100% compatible with the nipple (some small variation between different models of bucket valves may complicate adaptation of the universal nipple). The main feature of this nipple is to provide highly extended lifetime compared to any nipple on the market. This promise is due to its special patent-pending system. Like all our nipples in the BESS line, it includes a special valve insert inside the nipple, that is designed to prevent leaks even if the nipple gets torn. This valve insert acts as a check valve, that release milk flow when the calf is sucking, and closes-up as soon as the calf stops sucking. Moreover the special design of the nipple, combined with the valve insert, provides a steady, controled milk-flow while the calf is drinking. The nipple can be easily cleaned by separating valve insert from the nipple and have them washed in hot water
