Portasol dehorner III is a versatile and lightweight (330 grams) dehorning tool made in Europe. It is manufactured with high quality stainless steel parts. Optionnally supplied with 2 sizes of dehorning tips (15mm & 18,5mm), it allows dehorning of calves from 1 week old up to 8 weeks old. It is also economical compared to many other dehorning tools on the market, as it operates on a built-in refillable gas tank. Therefore it doesn't require recurrent purchasing of expensive specific gas bottle recharges. We recommend however to refill with premium refined gas recharges. 1 bottle of 300 ml will allow between 20 and 25 refills of gas. And each refill of the dehorner equals to 45 minutes of normal usage. Portasol dehorner III includes a dual ignition system: built-in piezo and manual ignition. The pre-heat time is very fast, about 15 seconds only and will reach its maximum temperature of 650°C within 30 to 40 seconds.
